LOCATION
Glenelg is a growing area made up of a number of small townships all set around the pretty Glenelg Bay which looks across the Sound of Sleat to Skye. At one
time it was the main access route onto the Isle of Skye and today the ferry between Glenelg and Kyelrhea on Skye still operates during the summer months. The main route to Glenelg however is from a small road leading off the A87 trunk road which runs between Inverness in the east to Kyle of Lochalsh in the west. The road leading to Glenelg passes through ‘Mam Ratagan’ to a height of some 1100ft before it drops down after some 9 miles into the village of Glenelg. The village has good local services including a village shop and post office, a community centre and a primary school. The area is also well served by mobile vans including a mobile bank.

Mains water, electricity and drainage are all beside the site. Developers however would require to obtain the approval of Scottish Water to connect to the mains supply.
