Outline Planning Permission for the erection of a single storey dwelling house was granted on 12th March 2009 and a copy of that permission is available from this office. The site itself if relatively flat undeveloped land and its location, although part of a friendly village, is also quite private and provides lovely open views across to the surrounding hills.
LOCATION
Earlish is a friendly community with a mixture of traditional and new built properties. It is conveniently situated between the village of Uig just a couple of miles to the north and the main town of the Island Portree, some 12 miles to the south. This is a pretty rural location and the location of this site is away from the main road and down a quiet single track lane which provides access to the majority of houses in Earlish. The village of Uig offers good local services including a grocery shop, post office, hotels, petrol station and primary school. Uig is also the terminus for the ferry service that runs between Skye and the Western Isles. Portree, the islands capital has all the main services you would expect of a growing town including secondary schooling and a cottage hospital.
