Bay is a small crofting township which forms part of the larger area known as Waternish on the north west of the Island. The closest village is Dunvegan some 6 miles away which has good local services including shops, hotels and restaurants and the world famous Dunvegan Castle. The Island’s capital is some 20 miles to the south east and has all the services and facilities you would expect of a growing town including secondary schooling and a cottage hospital.

From Portree take the A87 towards Dunvegan, continue on this road until you reach the turn off on your right hand side for Waternish. Follow the B886 Waternish road taking the first turn on your left hand side before reaching Lochbay. Follow this single track road until you reach the farm gate at the end of the road. 2 Bay Cottages is located through this gate at the end of the rough track. Care is advised if driving the track, alternatively you can park to the side of the gate and walk down the hill to the property.
