Beinn A Chuirn is located some c. 6 miles by road from the Shiel Bridge turning off the A87 and nearest immediate facilities are in Glenelg village some 3 miles away and offers a small range of facilities including village shop, community hall with cafe, surgery, post office and popular local Inn. Primary schooling is available in Glenelg with secondary schooling in Plockton, both have bus travel arrangements. The main village of Kyle of Loch Alsh is some 22 miles away and here you will find full services expected of a larger settlement including a supermarket, selection of shops, restaurants and bars, banks, petrol station, plus facilities of a modern medical centre, dental surgery, swimming pool and gymnasium. A regular bus and train service operates from Kyle providing easier access to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. In the peak holiday season a local ferry service operates between Glenelg and Kylerhea on the Isle of Skye. The area is popular with locals and tourists alike and is an excellent base for outdoor pursuits with many coastal and mountain walks, climbing and water sports which also provide the opportunity to spot a host of local wildlife.

Directions

From the A87 take the road to Glenelg and follow for c. 6 miles. See sign on the left for Scallasaig. The property is the next on the left immediately after the turning.
