Ault A Chruinn is a small township in the area of Shiel Bridge. With the famous Five Sisters of Kintail right on the door step and the Falls of Glomach, one of the highest waterfalls in Britain, close by it is a paradise for walkers and climbers. Just over 3 miles away is the village of Inverinate which has a petrol station & shop. The village of Dornie is approximately 8 miles away and this is where the world-famous Eilean Donan Castle is located. Here you will find a local shop, hotel, public bar and Post Office. The larger village of Kyle of Lochalsh is some 15 miles away and has a range of amenities on offer, including a supermarket, shops, garage, post office, leisure centre, medical practice and dentists. Primary schooling is available in Inverinate with secondary schooling in Plockton to which a school bus service runs daily. A regular train and bus service operates out of Kyle to Inverness the capital of the Highlands. Kyle is also home to the Skye Bridge that provides access onto the Isle of Skye and all of the visitor attractions it has to offer.
From the A87 (coming from Inverness direction) take the right turn signposted Ault A Chruinn which is just before you reach the Shiel Causeway. Follow the road round sharply to the left and the property can be found approx. 100m on the left hand side (opposite the post box on the right).
