Glenelg is located approximately 9 miles by road from the Shiel Bridge turn off on the A87. The area is surrounded by natural woodland with an abundance of wildlife and birdlife to be seen. With the coast and various mountains nearby the area is popular with walking enthusiasts. Glenelg village offers a range of small facilities including village shop, community hall, medical centre, post office and popular Inn. There is a Primary school in the village and secondary school in Plockton. From Kyle you can access the regular train service to the heart of the Highland, Inverness. A community owned ferry runs from Skye to Glenelg.

Directions

From the A87 take the road from Shiel Bridge to Glenelg. Drive over the hill into the Glen and follow the road until your reach the cross roads for the ferry or village take the road for the village and drive straight for around 1 mile. Halcyon lies on the second left after the play-park.
