The Old Croft House, Earlish

Offers over £50000 are invited

Situated in the pretty crofting township of Earlish the subjects for sale comprise of a ruinous stone croft house standing in a generous garden area extending to 1/3 acre or thereby (to be confirmed with title plan).

The Old Croft House was last occupied some 30 years  ago and retains its stone walls and part of its corrugated iron roof.  A small section of the roof was blown off in the winter storms, up until that point the building was wind and water tight.  It has been used in recent years as a byre.   An access road will require to be formed leading from the Earlish township road across to  the rear of the subjects where there is a good space for both parking and turning.  From the property there are lovely open views across the adjoining croftland with southerly views to the Cuillins.  The ruins of the old black house are included in the sale, located to the side of the house and this would be an ideal position for the erection of a garage if required.

The formation of the road to the site is the responsibility of the purchasers however once the road is formed part of the upkeep will be shared between the purchasers and the sellers.  From point A to point B shared on a user basis with the Sellers. From point B to point C the maintenance of the access roadway will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
