About us

As the longest established, largest and pre-eminent estate agency in Skye and Wester Ross, the directors and staff constantly appraise and evaluate the service we provide to our clients and how this can be improved. We have recently had a comprehensive review of how we deliver our service to purchasers and sellers and we have now resolved to completely re-design our service provision in the following three areas.


We have recently installed a new webcam, showing off the beautiful ever changing view from our Portree office looking out across Portree Bay with the Cuillins and Marsco in the distance.  We hope that you will join us in enjoying a glimpse of Skye.


We have hitherto operated with the traditional manager and staff framework. Having conducted our review we have resolved to change to a new structure delivering what we believe is an enhanced and personal service.

The new structure will have three categories of service being property partners, negotiators and an administrator. The role of each of these three categories is:-


The first point of contact for the seller or prospective purchaser will be one of our three sales negotiators. Each property will be allocated a dedicated negotiator who will deal with the sale of the property from initial contact to the conclusion of a sale. The dedicated negotiator will visit and inspect the property, prepare the Sales Schedule for approval, arrange, if required, the Home Report and thereafter deal personally with all prospective purchasers answering knowledgeably their queries and providing feedback and advice to the seller. Each Sales Schedule will identify the sales negotiator dealing with that particular property.


The three sales negotiators will be supported by our administrator, who will be based in our Portree office. She will provide administrative support for the negotiators including issuing the Sales Schedule for approval, having the agency agreement and sale file set up and liaising with both purchasers and sellers when the negotiators are out of the office or otherwise engaged.

Property Partners

Each property will be allocated a property partner who will be a qualified solicitor from the firm of FMS Law Ltd, Ferguson House, Bridge Road, Portree and Main Street, Kyle. The property partner will provide as part of our service and without any additional charge, legal advice on any queries which may emerge regarding the title to the property. The property partner will be available to answer questions from both the seller of the property and prospective purchasers.

We are confident that this new and innovative structure will provide a much enhanced level of service to both sellers and prospective purchasers.


We recently commissioned local website designers, Pelican, to design and establish a completely new website which is now live and, we are pleased to say, receiving a very good response.

Computer System

We have commissioned 3DK Computer Systems to design and install a brand new computer system designed specifically to accommodate and complement the changes in service provision and our new website.
